Ravica Releases Update for the BitSight2

Today Ravica has announced the latest update for it’s BitSight2 base-unit. The update is being rolled out to all customers in a single zip file that contains all tools nessecary for a successful upgrade.Image may be NSFW.

After downloading the firmware update file, simply follow these three steps to get your unit upgraded:

  • Step 1: Decompress this first compressed file that includes the IPSet utility
  • Step 2: Use the IPSet to update the firmware to the unit.
  • Step 3: Run the IPSet on your PC and enter you units admin password into the password field in the utility.
  • Note: There is no need to open or decompress the second file that contains the firmware code. Just browse to the compressed file when running the IPSet utility then enter your units login admin password (into IPSet), then choose “Update”.

You can view the entire change log below:

  • Fix – When changing the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius the values are not translated correctly.
  • Improvement – iDCV : reads negative values when the input voltage is above 5V.
  • Improvement – Chinese characters are now supported for sensor description.
  • Improvement – When changing the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius the values are not translated correctly.
  • Improvement – Changed extra dry contacts to show as inputs only (not output setting).
  • Improvement – Autosense makes the relay toggle when plugged-in.
